Maya Baruch
Maya is currently a Clinical Research Coordinator at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Maya graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University in 2024 and is hoping to pursue a career in medicine with an emphasis in neurology. Her primary research interests involve the interactions between physical fitness and cognitive health. Specifically, the link between the physical fitness of mothers during pregnancy and future psychiatric conditions of the child. She joined this lab to be exposed to neurology research and explore just how impactful the effects of sleep loss and oversleep are on cognition and physiology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys baking and spending time in nature.
