Gabriel Fortaleza-Tan
Gabriel Fortaleza-Tan is a junior at Boston College majoring in Biology on the pre-med track. His interest in sleep began with his own experiences with sleep difficulties and noticing how much sleep could affect his mood, energy, and everyday life. That interest deepened while working as a medical assistant, where he saw how poor sleep could affect patients beyond their immediate health concerns, impacting their daily routines and even those around them. At the Center for Sleep and Cognition, he is eager to learn more about the connection between sleep, cognition, and health and to contribute to research in the field.
Outside of the lab, Gabriel enjoys volleyball, running, speedcubing, and watching movies (slowly expanding his Letterboxd).
