Jessica Mangila

Jessica Mangila graduated from Nova Southeastern University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology. She is currently a second-year Master’s student in Medical Sciences at Boston University’s School of Medicine.

Jessica’s interest in sleep stems from observing the irregular sleep schedules of students and night shift workers. These experiences sparked her curiosity about how disrupted sleep patterns impact cognitive function and memory consolidation. She hopes to explore the neurological and behavioral consequences of sleep deprivation and contribute to research that supports both clinical care and public health interventions. Outside of the lab, Jessica enjoys running, reading, singing, and helping people with their fashion styling needs.
